The three main differences lie in C18 content, melting point, and iodine value. 1895 features high C18 content and a high melting point, making it ideal for applications requiring hardness and heat resistance, such as cosmetics, pharmaceutical excipients, and high-temperature candles. FA1865 is a general-purpose, high-purity grade that balances hardness and cost, suitable for PVC stabilizers and standard daily chemical products. FAB and FAR contain higher levels of C16, have lower melting points, and offer a smoother feel; they are best used as lubricants, plasticizers, and rubber processing aids. When selecting a grade, first consider the melting point (which determines hardness and heat resistance), then the iodine value (which affects oxidation resistance and color stability), and finally match the specific grade to your process requirements.
